In addition to what the “last sacred cow” comment reveals about Kinison, it may illuminate something else--the way gay-bashers view what they do. Maybe they think they’re performing some kind of religious sacrifice.
Neither Kinison nor religionists can deny that the encouragement of stereotyped attitudes toward gay people leads to violence. It’s not clear what god would accept such brutality. Maybe gay-bashers worship Sam Kinison.
