New School Board Member Picked
Frederick (Fritz) Seares has been appointed to the San Marino Unified School District Board of Education.
Seares, 56, a computer consultant and former president of the San Marino Schools Foundation, will replace Debby Bowes, who resigned July 30 because she is moving to Orange County. His appointment will run until the next school board election in November, 1991.
Seares has long been involved with San Marino schools. He was a trustee of the San Marino Schools Foundation from 1982-87 and was its president in 1983-84. He has also served on various school board advisory committees.
A 20-year-resident of San Marino, Seares formerly worked as an engineer for the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. His youngest son, Greg, 17, will be a senior at San Marino High School this fall.
