A man whom police suspect of committing 12 robberies--including three banks heists--struck again Thursday, taking $1,051 from savings and loan office in Kensington, police said.

Witnesses told police the robber was 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 23 to 26 years old, had short, wavy brown hair, and had brown skin. He wore dark sunglasses and a light blue baseball cap.

He entered the Home Federal Bank branch in the 4000 block of Adams Avenue at 9:25 a.m., displayed a handgun to the teller and told her to fill a burgundy shaving bag with money, said Bill Robinson, a spokesman for the San Diego Police Department.

“This man on July 6 began robbing fast-food outlets and small businesses in East San Diego and Point Loma,” Robinson said. “In August, he moved up to banks.”
