Nippon Mining to Drill for Oil in New Guinea

TOKYO — Nippon Mining Corp. said it has assumed drilling rights in a Papua-New Guinea site to prospect for oil.
The site, 180 miles northwest of Port Moresby, is half-owned by a group of Australian companies, the company said.
