CAMARILLO : Hazardous Waste to Be Collected Nov. 3
Homeowners in Camarillo will have an opportunity to dispose of accumulated hazardous waste under an agreement between the city and the Ventura Regional Sanitation District.
District employees and city volunteers will collect hazardous materials such as paint, poisons, oil and antifreeze on Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Camarillo Corp. Yard at 283 S. Glenn Drive.
“This is the first hazardous waste collection day we have held in Camarillo,” John Elwell, community services director, said.
The sanitation district holds several collection days a year throughout the county to allow residents to rid homes and garages of harmful substances and to keep toxic waste from being deposited in landfills.
