THE SIDELINES : North Stars Break Ice With Win

VOSKRESENSK, Soviet Union — The Minnesota North Stars scored their first victory in three games in the Soviet Union, beating a local team, Chimik, 3-2, today, in a fight-marred contest.
Minnesota scored first as it did in its two previous games.
In the first period, Illka Sinisalo skated down the right side and passed cross ice to Brian Bellows. Bellows got his first goal on the North Stars’ tour, easily beating Chimik goalie Alexei Chevyaskov.
