SHORT TAKES : Siegfried & Roy Mark Milestone
LAS VEGAS — Illusionists Siegfried & Roy passed an entertainment milestone Monday night, and in the process raised $150,000 to help fight eye disease.
The Las Vegas entertainers conducted their 10,000th live performance in their hometown, a gala performance at the Mirage Hotel to benefit the Baltimore-based Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation.
After the show, Siegfried told a crowd that he and Roy came to America with the dream of playing Las Vegas more than two decades ago.
“We are living proof that you should never give up your dreams,” he said.
