Rolling Hills 22, South Torrance 14--The Titans built a 22-6 halftime lead, then held off the home team Spartans to to win their third game in a row to improve to 3-1. Running back Robert Coulter broke an early 68-yard touchdown run as Rolling Hills took a quick 14-0 first-quarter lead. The standout for South (1-3) was receiver David Rosato, who caught scoring passes from Allen Hook of 42 yards in the second quarter and 20 in the fourth for the South touchdowns.
Banning 34, Woodland Hills Taft 18--The Pilots scored touchdowns on their first two possessions en route to a nonconference victory at Taft, snapping a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Banning (1-2) took a 20-6 lead early in the fourth quarter on a two-yard run by tailback Travis Davis.
