BOYS’ CROSS-COUNTRY

Stanford Invitational--Keith Grossman led Hart High to a second-place finish in the boys’ Division I race.

Grossman placed third in 15:55 over the 5,000-meter course as the Indians totaled 80 points to Madera’s 45.

Gavin Klinger (16:15) and Hector Chavez (16:32) were 12th and 16th for Hart.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

Royal 14, South Pasadena 11--Tim Treglon scored four goals and teammates Will Spencer and Jack Kocur each added three to help the Highlanders (11-3) defeat South Pasadena in the championship match of the San Luis Obispo Invitational.

Kocur scored five times to pace Royal’s 16-9 semifinal victory over San Bernardino earlier in the day.
