GM Recalling Big Cars: General Motors Corp. recalled about 64,000 of its 1990-model Buick, Oldsmobile and Cadillac cars because of a possible transmission problem. The company said it was possible that a cable to the cars’ floor-mounted shift levers could disconnect, freezing the transmission in the last gear selected. Cars affected by the recall include Buick Riviera and Reatta, Oldsmobile Toronado and Trofeo and Cadillac Eldorado and Seville models with floor-mounted shift levers. Repairs will be performed for free.
