About Jeanne Marie Monaghan’s “quiz” (Letters, Oct. 7), which facetiously commented on people who talk at rock concerts:
Understandably, it would be a nuisance to someone who actually can hear the conversations of others while some headbanger is pounding out his solo at about 90 decibels or more. But for the average concertgoer, with average sensory perception, things can be a lot worse.
My message goes out to those who feel that their ticket not only entitles them to a seat but to use that seat to get the best possible view of the stage without regard to people behind them.
Speaking for myself and anyone else who ever had to sit behind these selfish clods: “Talk all you want, but get down off that chair! “ I wish I could see past other people as easily as Monaghan can hear them.
