OXNARD : Man Flees on Foot After Robbing Bank
An Oxnard bank was robbed Monday by a man who gave the teller a note and indicated that he had a gun, the FBI said.
“The suspect flashed a note to the teller so fast that she did not even have time to read it,” said Gary Auer, supervisor of the local FBI office. “But she got the message.”
The robbery occurred at 11:09 a.m. at First Nationwide Bank. The man fled on foot after receiving money from the teller, Auer said. The amount taken was not revealed. It was the 38th bank robbery this year in Ventura County.
