PRO FOOTBALL REPORT : WEEKDAY UPDATE : RAMS : Stams at Home in the Middle of Things

Frank Stams, an outside linebacker and a defensive end during his last two years at Notre Dame, seems to have found a home at inside linebacker with the Rams. He had a career-high 11 tackles Sunday in the 31-7 loss to the New York Giants at Anaheim Stadium and leads the team in tackles this season with 56.

“He’s playing well and becoming much more comfortable in that position,” Coach John Robinson said.

Nagging injuries continue to haunt the Ram secondary. Cornerback Jerry Gray’s left knee is still “less than 100%,” according to Robinson, and cornerback Daryl Henley, who missed the first half of the season with a hip injury, was out for most of the second half against the Giants.
