Interior Secretary’s Son Held in Rape Case
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The son of Interior Secretary Manuel Lujan Jr. was arrested and jailed Wednesday on a rape charge after an unidentified victim said she awoke Sunday to find an intruder in her apartment and was forced to have sex, police said.
Robert Jeffrey Lujan, 28, who works as a house painter, was in custody in Alexandria City Jail late Wednesday and charged with rape, Alexandria police said. They said the victim’s apartment is located in the same high-rise condominium where Lujan lives with his parents.
