Rutgers advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive season by beating Dartmouth, 1-0, at Piscataway, N.J., on Jeff Carstens’ goal in the eighth minute.

The Scarlet Knights (19-2-2) will play Evansville (24-0-2) Saturday at Tampa, Fla., in the semifinals.
