YORBA LINDA : Pregnant Woman Bound and Robbed
A 23-year-old woman in her ninth month of pregnancy was bound, blindfolded and robbed by three men, one of whom posed as a deliveryman, police said.
The robbery occurred in the 4200 block of Avocado Avenue at 9:11 a.m. Thursday when a man dressed as a deliveryman and driving a white, red and blue mail-type truck knocked on the victim’s door, police said.
When the unidentified victim opened the door, the man pointed a gun at her and walked inside, police said. The gunman was joined by two other men who helped blindfold and tie the victim, police said.
The robbers ransacked the victim’s house for about 15 minutes taking an unknown amount of property, police said.
Before the robbers left they untied the victim and told her to wait before calling authorities, police said.
Several minutes later the victim called police and was taken to Placentia Linda Hospital, in Placentia with a bruised wrist, police said. She was treated at the hospital and released without injury to her unborn child.
