Deputy Kills Dog of Homeless Man
How my heart goes out to Robert Uderos, the homeless young man whose dog “Baby” was shot and killed by the deputy. Any good dog will protect its master. It was not necessary to shoot her. Uderos could have surely controlled the dog if given a warning and enough time. What hell he must have gone through, forced to watch his beloved canine companion lie dying on the cement while he, himself, was being interrogated and booked.
I was widowed 14 years ago and my little dog is my only companion. I know the solace a good dog can give. She keeps me sane and able to function. A dog is truly “man’s best friend” and “Baby” deserved a chance to live.
