California IN BRIEF : SAN FRANCISCO : 5 Injured in Fire in Mission District

More than two dozen people were left homeless and five were injured when a smoky, five-alarm fire swept through two buildings in the busy Mission District. Four firefighters suffered minor injuries and two businesses were gutted by the blaze, which burned for nearly four hours, fire officials said.
