Track Meet at Forum Is Canceled

The Times Indoor Games have been canceled, for at least a year.

The Los Angeles Times announced Friday that the track and field meet, which it has co-sponsored since 1960, would not be run in 1991. It had been scheduled for Feb. 14 at the Forum.

“We’ve decided not to stage the meet this year basically because we have been unable to find a new co-sponsor and we lost our traditional Friday night date,” meet director Will Kern said. “We hope to regroup and come back better than ever in 1992.”

The meet, leaves the Sunkist Invitational as the only indoor meet in the Southland.
