Dale Pollock has been named president of A&M; Films, a division of A&M; Records. Pollock previously served as a producer or executive producer on such A&M; features as “Blaze” and “The Beast.” The former Los Angeles Times reporter is also the author of “Skywalking, The Life and Times of George Lucas.” In conjunction with Pollock’s promotion, Lianne Halfon was named vice-president of A&M; Films and Ross Canter was made executive in charge of development. A&M; expects to produce at least four films in 1991.
