COSTA MESA : Deadline to Apply for Grants Is Jan. 18
Nonprofit organizations have until Jan. 18 to apply for city grants to pay for the advertising and promotional costs of their community-related activities.
Organizations must be nonprofit corporations or unincorporated associations and must provide proof of nonprofit status. To qualify for funding, applications must show that the organization holds activities that benefit the city and its residents, enhance the image of the city, exhibit civic pride and serve a charitable, philanthropic, cultural or educational purpose.
The organizations must be based in Costa Mesa and cannot have received funds from other city grant programs in the same fiscal year.
Application forms are available at the city manager’s office on the fifth floor of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive. The office also will mail out applications.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Jan. 18. They will be reviewed in early February, and grants will be awarded in late February or early March.
