CBS Hires Consulting Firm: CBS Inc. hired the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. to conduct an “overall strategic review” of the network. In a memo to senior managers, CBS Broadcast Group President Howard Stringer said the consulting firm “will assist in planning and refocusing our activities to meet the evolving competitive patterns of the broadcast industry.” Stringer will chair a committee of top CBS executives who will work with McKinsey.
