OXNARD : Grants Available for Homeowners
Low-income farm workers in Oxnard who own houses can receive up to $2,000 from the city to make energy-related improvements to their houses.
The city’s Housing Department will distribute $110,000 in California Energy Conservation Rehabilitation Grant money, which was obtained through the state Department of Housing and Community Development.
The City Council applied for the grant in October, 1990, and the funds were made available earlier this month.
Oxnard’s allocation is part of $900,000 in grants distributed statewide.
