At Last, an Oscar: An honorary Oscar will go to Myrna Loy at the 63rd annual Academy Awards on March 25 at the Shrine Auditorium. Loy, 85, will receive the award to celebrate her 54-year film career. The actress, who became a star with her role as Nora Charles in “The Thin Man,” has appeared in 125 movies. In 1936, filmgoers participating in a poll named Loy the “Queen of the Movies.” But she never received an Oscar nomination, although one of the films in which she starred, “The Best Years of Our Lives,” received honors in seven categories.
