Sellars at the Bowl: “A special evening” produced by Peter Sellars has appeared on a preliminary listing for this summer’s Hollywood Bowl season. Asked for elaboration, Sellars, the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s predictably unpredictable creative consultant, said Wednesday that he still hopes to mount his silent film, “The Cabinet of Dr. Ramirez” (announced but not delivered at the Bowl last September), but that “if that doesn’t work, I have several other options” for filling the Sept. 10 slot. Several? “Four or five.” He is still working on the film project, he said. “I won’t know for another month if the music (by John Adams) is going to work. If it’s too hard--that is, if it’s too exhausting for the players--we’ll have to rethink it.” The ebullient stage director concluded: “Don’t worry, we’ll do something interesting.”
