THE GULF WAR: The Battle Front : Press Rules
The Pentagon requires members of the press to follow these rules in their coverage of the Gulf War.
* Interviews with and photographs of wounded soldiers are allowed only in the presence of a military escort and with the consent of the patient, doctor and commander.
* No visual or audio recordings of personnel in agony or severe shock.
* Imagery of patients undergoing plastic-surgery treatments and those suffering from disfigurement are forbidden.
* Visual imagery and interviews of patients undergoing psychiatric treatment are not permitted.
