Strawberry Already Has Everyone Stirred Up
The fact that Strawberry’s abrupt departure from New York is being viewed as some sort of personal emancipation is absolutely ludicrous, because all of the pleasure belongs to the Mets’ fans who have had to endure his sporadic achievements and infantile behavior for eight years.
Strawberry was not, is not and never will be a team player, choosing instead to be the poster child for selfishness and eventually alienating teammates, the media and fans as a result.
