Ribet Academy’s 144-38 Win Sets Southern Section Boys’ Record
The Ribet Academy High boys’ basketball team set a Southern Section record for most points scored in a game Friday night in a 144-38 victory over Antelope Valley Christian at La Canada.
Ribet Academy broke the record of 140 points set by Gardena Serra against Los Angeles Salesian during the 1980-81 season.
Ribet Academy scored 42 points in the first quarter, 28 in the second, 37 in the third and 34 in the fourth. Jrmirol Duncan led the Fighting Frogs with 33 points.
Ribet Academy is the defending Small Schools Division champion. It is in the 5-A Division of the Heritage League this season.
