SANTA ANA : NAACP’s Hooks to Speak at College
Benjamin L. Hooks, executive director of the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People, will speak tonight at Rancho Santiago College.
The appearance by Hooks, head of the NAACP since 1977, wraps up a month of activities sponsored by the college’s Black Student Union in honor of African-American Heritage Month.
The program is open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Phillips Hall on the college’s main campus at 17th and Bristol streets. A brief reception will follow in the Fine Arts lobby. Admission is free.
