Rolling Hills Will Get Cable Service
Cable television will be available to residents of Rolling Hills by the end of this year, according to a construction schedule approved in a 4-0 vote by the City Council on Monday.
Dimension Cable Services, a subsidiary of the Times Mirror Co., which owns the Los Angeles Times, is scheduled to begin underground construction March 25 and to complete installation by Dec. 31. Steve Fowler, general manager of Dimension Cable Services, said some residents could be hooked up as early as July.
Rolling Hills is the last city on the Palos Verdes Peninsula to be wired for cable television. Fowler said the service will be available to all 684 homes in the city.
