Los Alamitos’ Brun Commits to Santa Clara

Laura Brun, a defender for the Los Alamitos girls’ soccer team, has orally committed to play for Santa Clara and will sign a letter of intent, her mother said Wednesday.

Brun, whose high school career ended Tuesday when the Griffins lost to top-seeded El Toro in a Southern Section Division 4-A semifinal game, chose Santa Clara, which has reached the NCAA Division I final in each of the past two seasons, over UC Santa Barbara.
