Jordan Seeks Removal of Allied Forces From Gulf

AMMAN, Jordan — Jordanian senators urged Arab leaders Saturday to press for the withdrawal of allied forces from Saudi Arabia and southern Iraq, saying their presence threatens the Arab world.
Jordan, sympathetic to Iraq during the crisis, is now trying to mend fences with its former Arab and Western allies. Washington says U.S. forces will be withdrawn after a cease-fire is signed.
