NEW COMMUTE: The Buena Park shop that sold bicycles to Nabisco to give to its employees willing to commute by bike (E2) supplies police agencies as well. “Police bikes are a little more rugged” than commuting bikes, shop manager Greg Gardea says. “They’re designed to get to places where a squad car can’t go.” . . . But Gardea sees bicycle commuting as a coming thing. He’s negotiating with another large company now and expects more orders in the future, thanks to tougher pollution regulations.
