Plans to Close School Libraries

All she did was graduate second in her class from Hollywood High. Her stay at Berkeley was interrupted by some jerk in Los Angeles who got her to marry him (yours truly). Despite his antics, she went on to graduate with honors with a master’s degree in library science from UCLA. Not wanting to make “big money” at science centers, she devoted her time to Los Angeles schools. At Nightingale Junior High, she built a library which today has students waiting in line at 7 a.m. when she is there to open--as she has been for over 11 years. She has been named “teacher of the year,” even though she is a librarian.

She has been fired because there is no money for such things.
