$25 Million in Cocaine Confiscated at Alhambra Residence; 4 Arrested
Narcotics agents seized 1,100 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $25 million from an Alhambra residence and arrested four people, authorities said Saturday.
The seizure and arrests came Friday night in a joint operation conducted by police from Anaheim and Brea and agents of the U.S. Customs Service.
Anaheim Sgt. Tom O’Donnell said the cocaine was confiscated during a raid at a house in the 700 block of West Hellman Street in Alhambra.
Arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess cocaine for sale and transportation of cocaine were Pier Adrian Curry, 21, a transient; Blanca Lucero Largo Lopez, 29, of Alhambra; Juan Fernando Meza, 22, of Monterey Park, and Pedro Cuartas, 24, of Alhambra.
The suspects were in custody Saturday in Los Angeles County Jail held in lieu of $5-million bail each, authorities said. They were expected to be arraigned Monday in Los Angeles Federal Court.
