Sympathy for Those Near Porter Ranch
I don’t live in the area, but I would like to see the Porter Ranch development stopped because I feel sorry for the people who do.
I lived from 1979 to 1986 in the Panorama City area on an acre estate in a neighborhood which would be deemed slightly below average. We were all quite happy there until the area was rezoned. We signed petitions against it and were so naive that we thought contacting our local councilman would mean something. We found out later that it doesn’t.
The environment changed completely and we were forced to move because my wife and sister were no longer safe there. People who stayed tell me that the noise is so bad at night now, because of the multi-apartment units, that they are going to move shortly too.
