Countywide : Month Highlights Need for Child Care
Many Ventura County parents who use child care while they work are displaying bright yellow cards at their jobs this month that say “My Job Depends on Child Care.”
April is the Month of the Young Child, so child-care agencies countywide are distributing the cards to the more than 4,000 parents whose children are in child care while they work, said Belia Soto, spokeswoman for Child Development Resources of Ventura County.
The parents who receive the cards are asked to display them on their desks so that employers become aware of the need for child care in the county, Soto said.
