Wives’ Names
In “How the Crusades Became Prime for TV” (April 14), Richard Mahler writes that the Environmental Media Assn. was founded by Norman Lear, Michael Ovitz and Alan Horn “and their wives.” He later refers to “such heavyweight couples (in the Hollywood activism community) as the Jonathan Dolgens, Brandon Tartikoffs, Sid Ganises and Gary Lieberthals.”
The seven women alluded to have names also, don’t they? If they’re important to the causes under discussion, the women deserved to be identified as individuals in their own right.
