Judge Allows Fact-Finding in FNN Suits: U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Francis G. Conrad, who ruled Thursday that General Electric Co.’s CNBC unit had won the auction for Financial News Network, said he will consider antitrust challenges against the acquisition at a hearing May 20. The delay will allow the litigants, which include the losing bidder--a partnership of Dow Jones and Group W Broadcasting--to gather facts related to the case. If no stays are issued, CNBC’s deal to acquire and merge with FNN could close as early as May 21.
