In the Angelus League:

Servite 11, Santa Margarita 2--Josh Kliner had three hits and four RBIs, Ray Basurto had three RBIs and three hits, including a triple, and Chris Honikel had two doubles and three RBIs for visiting Servite (14-11, 8-7).

St. John Bosco 5, Mater Dei 1--St. John Bosco hit three home runs to defeat host Mater Dei (13-12, 8-7).

In the Century League:

El Modena 8, Villa Park 3--Brad Gibbons (5-2) pitched four innings for the victory and Darren Knudson pitched three innings of relief for visiting league-champion El Modena (17-6, 13-2).

Jeff Ettinger had three hits, scored twice and had three RBIs and Jason Wakefield had a two-run home run in the top of the third inning to make the score 2-2.

Villa Park ends 6-9, 9-16.

Canyon 5, Orange 1--Matt Wood (6-4) pitched a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts and Greg Tippin had an RBI double and a two-run home run for host Canyon (15-9-1, 9-6), which finished in second place.

Santa Ana Valley 4, Foothill 3--Armando Cueva had two hits and three RBIs for host Santa Ana Valley (10-15, 7-8), which finished in third place.

Martin Ortega doubled to left with two outs and scored on Cueva’s single to center in the bottom of the fifth inning. Cueva made a diving catch in the third inning with first and third to start a double play to keep Santa Ana Valley ahead, 3-2.

Foothill ends 9-14, 6-9.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Estancia 6, Costa Mesa 0--Senior Chris Watson pitched a four-hitter and struck out 12 as host Estancia (11-4, 17-7) clinched a tie for first place with the victory. Estancia will go into the playoffs with the top seed from the league because the Eagles beat Laguna Hills in all three meetings.

Watson also had two hits and drove in two and Will Bohufslavizki had two hits and two RBIs also for Estancia.

Trabuco Hills 2, Century 0--Jeff Beckley (6-2) pitched a two-hitter, struck out eight and walked three for host Trabuco Hills (12-10, 9-6). Steve Height doubled and scored for Trabuco Hills. Trabuco Hills will make playoffs as the third-place team.

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 8, Whitney 3--Matt Hendren (7-4) pitched a six-hitter for host Orange Lutheran. Phil Matheson had two hits and an RBI for Orange Lutheran. Matheson also made a good stop of a hard-hit ball with the bases loaded in the fifth for the final out of the inning.

Orange Lutheran (15-8, 9-5) needs help to make the playoffs. The Lancers qualify only if Valley Christian defeats Whittier Christian today. If Whittier Christian wins, the Heralds advance as the third-place team.

Jason Hill had a home run for second-place Whitney (16-5, 10-4).
