California IN BRIEF : OCEANSIDE : Man Arrested in Attack on Educator

A man whose son was barred from a school trip to Disneyland was arrested after attacking and chasing a vice principal around the school grounds at lunchtime, police said. The boy had been excluded from the trip because he was serving a suspension for spraying graffiti on a school wall. Simanu Unutoa, 43, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a school official after he argued with the vice principal of Lincoln Junior High, Fernando Martinez, over his son’s treatment, then chased, struck and kicked him, police said. Unutoa was released after posting $10,000 bail.
