Cypress 3, Garden Grove 0--Elicia Chad pitched her second no-hitter of the season and her second consecutive playoff victory as Cypress (14-7) upset Garden Grove (21-6). Chad struck out four and walked two. Chad had a two-run double in the fourth inning and Nicole Espriu drew two walks, scored twice and stole a base for Cypress.

Huntington Beach 1, Lakewood St. Joseph 0--Stephanie Noffsinger (10-8) scored and pitched a two-hitter for Huntington Beach (14-11), which advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the first time. Noffsinger had a no-hitter through the sixth inning before allowing back-to-back singles in the seventh inning. Noffsinger singled with one out in the bottom of the first inning, stole second base, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on Shannen Kreipl’s slow ground ball to first.
