Frank O’Toole has been named director of display advertising of the Los Angeles Times, a unit of Times Mirror Co.
O’Toole, 63, has been acting director of display advertising since 1989 and prior to that was assistant director of the department.
As director of display, O’Toole oversees a staff of about 300 and is responsible for The Times’ retail, national and regional display advertising sales divisions and ad sales for TV Times and the Los Angeles Times magazine.
Los Angeles-based Times Mirror owns several newspapers, including the Baltimore Sun, Newsday and the Hartford Courant, in addition to The Times.
