San Fernando Youth Charged With Murder
An 18-year-old San Fernando gang member was charged with murder Thursday in connection with the shooting of a Pacoima youth three months ago, Los Angeles County prosecutors said.
Raymond Sarabia is accused of killing Javier Francisco, 16, on Feb. 11 at a mini-mall near Paxton Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Deputy Dist. Atty. Edward Nison said.
Witnesses said Sarabia “walked up to Francisco, grabbed him by the hair and shot him at point-blank range in the head,” Nison said.
He said the killing appeared to be gang-related.
Sarabia was being held without bail in Los Angeles County Jail.
