Man Clubbed and Robbed of Watch by 2 Men in Irvine
IRVINE — A man was hit over the head by two robbers as he walked in front of his home here Saturday night and robbed of a Rolex watch, Irvine police said.
Police Sgt. Mike Ogden said the resident was walking outside his residence on Songsparrow in Woodbridge about 9:20 p.m. when two men walked up to him, clubbed him on the head with a blunt object and took the watch.
The unidentified resident was taken to Irvine Medical Center for stitches and treatment of the wound, Ogden said.
The watch was bought 10 years ago for about $850, police said.
The men were seen driving around the neighborhood several times in a cream-colored Honda Accord before the incident, Ogden said.
