Castaic Has More to Offer Than Just Trophy-Size Bass
Known primarily for its trophy largemouth bass, Lake Castaic is providing fishermen with more variety.
Large bass are still being caught at the Los Angeles County reservoir--consider the five-fish bass limit topped with a nine-pounder by Castaic’s Greg Rexroth. Jack Praizner of Northridge took 10 catfish totaling 43 pounds, and 6-year-old Casey Catrone of Palmdale filled his stringer with 20 bluegills weighing 16 pounds.
