Cloud Over Tony Awards
Sylvie Drake’s commentary “The Cloud Over Broadway Looms Over Tony Show Too” (June 4) neglected to mention what perhaps was the biggest embarrassment of the evening:
Not to have allowed the scenery, costume and lighting design Tony winners the respect to approach the stage and accept their awards was an insult to all who collaborate in creating theater. This is the one moment of the year when the theatrical designer should be able to be heard as well as be seen.
