Colton’s Faria Takes First, Third Place at Motorcycle Races

COSTA MESA —  Mike Faria of Colton won the four-lap scratch main event in the weekly speedway motorcycle program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Alan Christian of Murrieta was second, Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa was third and Steve Lucero of Riverside was fourth.

Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano won the eight-lap handicap main event. Chris Manchester of Hesperia was second, Faria was third, Scott Brant of Riverside was fourth, Shawn McConnell of Brea was fifth and Archie Perez of Costa Mesa was sixth.
