Reseda Woman Held in Husband’s Slaying
A Reseda woman was being held on suspicion of murder Thursday in the stabbing death of her common-law husband, Los Angeles police reported.
JoDell Victoria McMann, 46, was arrested in the couple’s apartment after paramedics found her fatally wounded spouse, 42-year-old Michael Allen Cannon, in the building manager’s unit.
Cannon died shortly after arrival at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. McMann was being held at the Van Nuys Jail until her arraignment.
The attack occurred in the 7500 block of Canby Avenue about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday. According to police reports, Cannon managed to walk to the building manager’s apartment after he was stabbed. Police said they found McMann inside the apartment she shared with Cannon, and also found a kitchen knife that appears to be the weapon.
