Latino Organization Celebrating 10 years
The Latino Resource Organization, a Santa Monica-based nonprofit community group serving Latinos on the Westside, will celebrate its 10th anniversary at a fund-raising luncheon today from 1 to 5 p.m. at Michael’s restaurant, 1147 3rd St., Santa Monica.
Los Angeles County Supervisor Ed Edelman will be honored at the luncheon for his support of Latino issues, said Kandi Reyes, president of the group’s board of directors.
Tickets for the luncheon are $150 each, or $1,500 for a table of 10. Tickets, which are tax-deductible, will be available at the door.
The group provides educational and enrichment programs for Latino youths and adults and is an advocate for the Latino community on local issues.
